Coordination meeting held for the accreditation of new programs and quality assurance at the Faculty of Education

Within the framework of preparations for the accreditation process of new study programs, a coordination meeting was held on April 14, 2026, between the Quality Assurance Office, the management of the Faculty of Education, and the Faculty-level Quality Assurance Commission.

The meeting was attended by:

Prof. Dr. Ilmi Hoxha, Dean of the Faculty of Education;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edita Haxhijaha, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education;
Ass. Emirejeta Kumnova, Coordinator of the Faculty Quality Assurance Commission;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruzhdi Kadrija, Member of the Quality Assurance Commission;
Elinda Rexha Pruthi, Member of the Quality Assurance Commission;
Qëndresa Bardhoshi, Acting Head of the Quality Assurance Office at UFAGJ.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform and coordinate the necessary steps in the application process for the accreditation of new study programs, as well as to provide updates on the actions that the Faculty of Education is undertaking in this regard.

The Dean presented the results of the market research for new programs in the field of education, emphasizing the Faculty’s orientation toward developing programs that align with labor market demands, contemporary educational trends, and quality assurance standards. The aim remains to ensure that these programs are relevant, sustainable, and attractive to students.

An important part of the discussion was dedicated to the continuous monitoring of the quality of study programs through internal evaluation mechanisms, including the expansion of monitoring instruments and the drafting of reports on performance indicators.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Office reiterated the guidelines and steps that must be followed prior to applying for new programs, as well as the defined quality assurance standards in accordance with the applicable regulations. The importance of the active involvement of the Quality Assurance Commission in all stages of the process was also emphasized, along with its role in ensuring academic quality standards.

Representatives of the Faculty of Education committed to continuing their intensive work and to following all procedures in accordance with the Regulation on Quality Assurance and Evaluation of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, as well as Regulation (KAA) No. 04/2024 on the Accreditation/Reaccreditation and Validation Manual for higher education institutions and study programs at the bachelor and master levels.

This meeting represents an important step toward advancing quality assurance processes and successfully preparing for the accreditation of new study programs.
