Today marks one year since the historic day of laying the foundation stone of the Faculty of Medicine Building, on the Campus of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova. We recall that on December 9, 2024, the implementation of a strategic and long-term project for the University officially began, the construction of the first modern campus building, a project that has been the goal of the academic community and higher education institutions in Gjakova for many years. During this year, construction works have marked clear and tangible progress in each lamella:

In Lamella A and B, the first and second floors have been built, now creating the vertical structure of the building.

In Lamella C, the foundations have been completed, which prepare the basis for the further construction of the building.

In Lamella D, the laying of the concrete base has been carried out, creating the necessary terrain for the subsequent phases of construction.

This progress shows that the project is progressing at a regular pace and in accordance with the technical standards and deadlines. The new building of the Faculty of Medicine will bring modern infrastructure, advanced laboratories and contemporary teaching and research facilities, significantly improving the conditions for study and professional development of students.

The Rector of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, has highly appreciated the institutional commitment that has enabled the realization of the project so far. “In just one year, we have achieved tangible results in the construction of the Campus and have laid the foundations for the safe continuation of the works. This is a direct investment in the future of our students, in the quality of education and in the development of the city,” he said.
