Creative Exhibition of Students from the Faculty of Education – “Fehmi Agani” University of Gjakova
On May 28, 2025, the Faculty of Education at the “Fehmi Agani” University of Gjakova hosted a collective exhibition featuring third-year students from the Preschool Education program, organized within the course Handicrafts and Modeling. This artistic and pedagogical event served as a platform to highlight students’ creative capacities and to underscore the essential role of art in shaping early childhood education.
The exhibited works reflected a synthesis of pedagogical critical thinking and aesthetic expression, demonstrating the potential of art as both an educational medium and a means of fostering emotional and cognitive development in young children. A variety of materials were utilized, including paper, plastic, wood, and cotton. The themes ranged from iconic animated characters and the seasonal cycle to cultural symbols (such as the Newborn monument), theatrical forms like puppet theatre, and original concepts developed by the students themselves.
The exhibition was curated by Professor Mimoza Kurshumlia, who guided students through this creative and pedagogically reflective process. This initiative emphasizes the importance of integrating practical and creative experiences into the professional preparation of future educators, thereby strengthening their ability to design and implement rich, stimulating, and inclusive environments for preschool-aged children.
