Workshop on strategies for effective management in preschool education settings
On Friday, 28 February 2025, in the premises of the Faculty of Education in the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova was organized the workshop with the topic: ‘’Strategies for the effective management in the preschool education premises’’. This workshop was realized by the students of the preschool education program, Erza Thaqi and Adena Muqa, under the leadership of Prof. Asoc. Dr. Edita Haxhijaha.
The activity was developed in regards to the project TAKE (Together Advancing Kosovo’s Training and Employment within the Education Sector), supported by Swiss Caritas (SCA), and implemented by the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina, with the inclusion of all faculties of education in the public universities.
The purpose of the workshop was the development of the strategies for effective management of the educational environment and focusing on:
- The improvement of the effective communication through active listening;
- The educators and children’s’ training for the emotional management, creating a calm and supporting environment;
- The placement and the implementation of the clear rules for mutual respect and discipline;
- Strengthening of collaboration between educators and children, as well as the creation of the effective communication bridges with children;
- Utilization of the positive strategies for behaviour management and prevention of conflicts;
- Building an inclusive environment, wherein every kid feels appreciated and motivated to learn;
- Promotion of group work for the development of the social and collaborative skills.
During the workshop, the educators shared their everyday challenges and experiences in the management of the educational environment. The discussions were focused on the practical strategies for the improvement of the interaction with children and the creation of a safe and motivating environment for learning.
This activity provided an important space for the exchange of experiences, helping the participants to gain knowledge on the importance of positive communication, utilization of the methods for the motivation of children and the strengthening of the collaboration between educators and students of the Faculty of Education.
