Takim consultativ for the assessment and needs of the Master program "Komunikimi në Edukimin Bashkëkohor"
On 24.06.2026, within the framework of the needs assessment process for the application to the new Master's program "Communication in Contemporary Education", at the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Education, the chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Education, Msc. Yllka Juniku Shehu, called the members of the Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship to a consultative meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the importance and need of this program for the education system, to receive the opinions and recommendations of those present, as a contribution to the application process and feasibility study for this program. The meeting was also attended by the principals of primary and lower secondary schools to discuss the proposed Master’s program: Communication in Contemporary Education. This meeting provided an opportunity to identify the competences related to communication in contemporary educational settings and to ensure that the program is in line with the needs of schools and the education system. The participants highlighted the growing importance of effective interpersonal communication, digital communication, cooperation with parents and the wider community, conflict resolution, intercultural communication and the integration of modern technologies into educational practice. The members of the Advisory Board and the school principals expressed strong support for the establishment of the program, highlighting its potential to strengthen the professional capacities of teachers and educational leaders, to improve communication within educational institutions and to contribute to the overall quality and effectiveness of teaching, learning and school management.
They unanimously agreed to develop this program, as effective communication has become one of the most essential competencies for teachers and school leaders. A master’s program dedicated to communication in contemporary education will prepare professional teachers and educational leaders to face the challenges of today’s schools. They agreed that teachers who graduate from this program are expected not only to teach, but also to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues and the wider community. This program addresses a real professional need.
Considering that the integration of digital technologies has transformed communication in education, graduates of this program will be better equipped with the knowledge to use digital communication tools responsibly and effectively, it was said, among other things, at this meeting.
