The Faculty of Education, on 23.12.2025, organized a Roundtable Discussion on the topic: “Amplifying New Voices in Support of Survivors of Sexual Violence During the War.”

The invited guest to share her professional experience in working with survivors of sexual violence was Ms. Veprore Shehu, Executive Director of the organization Medica. The activity was carried out within the framework of a training session conducted by psychologist Emirjeta, an assistant at the Faculty of Education and at the same time a member of the staff of Medica Kosova, who, through her professional experience, shared with the students cases, events, and experiences related to this sensitive topic.

During the training, discussions focused on sensitivity in addressing this delicate issue, the challenges of discussing it in academic environments, as well as the importance of creating safe spaces for dialogue, empathy, and support.

This event was supported by the Kosovo Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims, through assistance provided by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, and was also attended by Vice-Dean Edita Haxhijaha and Prof. Dr. Sindorela Doli, who delivered keynote addresses, emphasizing the role of educational institutions and young people in supporting survivors of sexual violence during the war.
