Vice-rector Prof. Ass. Dr. Kaltrina Kusari completes successfully Post-doctorate studies in Canada

During June, 2025, Dr. Kaltrina Kusari, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences in UFAGJ, completed successfully her post-doctorate studies in the University of Calgary, Canada.

During this period, Prof. Kusari joined the research partnership Aging in the Right Place (AIRP), a multi-city project which is concentrated in the elders’ experiences who face residence uncertainties and homelessness situations in Canada. Her contribution was focused in the data analysis which are related to elder migrants, providing significant knowledge on the way how migration status impacts aging process and uncertainty in housing.

In the concluding stage of post-doctorate, Prof. Kusari had the opportunity to present the main findings of this study in the Conference Our Future is Aging, held on Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her presentation raised important discussions on the inclusive approaches towards housing and aging politics in Canada.

The inclusion of Prof. Kusari in this important project will enrich further her contribution in the Faculty of Social Sciences in UFAGJ, in particular in aging, migration and social justice fields.
