On October 9, 2024, took place the inauguration of the Steering Council in the University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ Gjakovë. Under the leadership of Prof.Ass.Dr. Venera Vala Këndusi, the members voted for the re-election of Majlinda Haxhikadrija, as Head of this Council, while deputy-head was elected Ilir Bytyqi.

Part of the Steering Council with three-year mandate are also the following:

 Prof. Ass. Dr. Gentiana Muhaxhiri, member

 Ass. Rilind Obertinca, member

All the members vowed to respect the Statute of the University, the Law on Higher Education, as well as the fact that they will work with due dedication and maximal responsibility.

On October 18, 2024, was held the next meeting of the Steering Council, wherein were reviewed and discussed a number of issues and requests. There was also announced the vice-rector for Academic Development and Quality Assurance Prof.Ass.Dr. Kaltrina Kusari.

In addition, there were also approved decisions of the Science Council for the stimulation of the academic staff regarding scientific publications indexed in WoS and Scopus.

It is worth emphasizing that in this meeting it was also taken the decision for the increase of scholarships for students for the academic year 2024/2025, and simultaneously, for the publication of the scholarship competition.
